You're right. I mistook The Pianist for the The Piano, and I've totally forgotten that I've ever seen The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. You should check out: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I really enjoyed that movie. Not to mention Affleck's other flick, Gone Baby Gone
